Dr. Isaac Groneman, an expert in antiquities ventured into the Praga valley in the mid-19th Century, with a purpose to document, and preserve the history of the Buddhist temples that lay in this fertile valley. Discovering the lesser but still amazing temples of Mendut, and Pawon as he worked on this historic research.
These ancient temples were constructed before the age of the machine the Western World, and the advanced construction methods, have long since puzzled visitors to the area. Dr Groneman created a concise document to the mysteries of these temples, bringing alive the civilization, that created one of the wonders of the World, and allows you to envisage the age of Borobudur.
